Scaffolded Projects for the Social Good

Extending 10+ years of experience of the CCSU Software Engineering studio, this project aims to assist computer science faculty to embed community-based service-learning projects into their curriculum and illustrate the potential of computing for positive social impact.  

LEGO for software engineering

LEGO is fun to play with, but can also be used in many learning activities for software engineering ranging from requirements elicitation to analyzing team dynamics, from studying software component interfaces to learning code refactoring  

Mobile game development

This NSF-funded project studied the effects of using mobile game development throughout the computing curriculum on improving student learning
