Started in late Fall of 2001, the Computer Club was
originally formed to allow all students the chance to explore ideas in
the computing arts and sciences outside of the classroom. The Club
provides hands-on experience with areas of interest not only with
computers but with any other interests related to computer technology.
Now, the Computer Club is happy to have the opportunity to
work on many different independent and team projects, such as a cluster
computing, PlayStation 2 programming, networking, game programming, and
robotics.
The Club visited Apple Computers (Cupertino, CA) in the Spring of 2003,
has sponsored guest speaker seminars, and continues to offer
tutoring in Computer Science courses.
Most importantly, the Computer Club gives CCSU students the
opportunity to learn, experience, and research any computer technology
in which a student is interested. Our Computer Science Department's
faculty and alumni offer strong mentorship and guidance as well. The
Club is dedicated to a unique and curious academic experience beyond
what classes and courses provide.
